A question. Given space can be at a premium in a bugout bag, I opted to buy a Lixada small flatpack stainless steel camping stove. There are mixed reviews on this but to me it seems pretty solid although I haven't tested it yet. What are people's thoughts on small camping stoves on a budget please?

I always carried a camping Gaz stove myself.

@yokel OK, I have seen those but what happens if you can't get gas anymore or you can't physically carry the cannisters. Do you have a backup?

the small canisters dont weigh much so I dont think thats an issue.

one could carry one of the military gel stoves I suppose but I'd be concerned about contamination.

failing that a good old wood camp fire.

I'm not keen on the idea to military gel stoves, I have heard tell that the tablets can be carcinogenic. I always carried camping Gas stoves.

I've got a couple of the gel stoves but I do prefer camping gaz cylinders.
